Hillcrest
Welcome to Hillcrest. We fell in love with the house and moved to Wigtown in May 2003. Since then we have created both a home for our family and bright, spacious and comfortable accommodation for our guests. At the very top of VisitScotland 3 star grade with 69%, we continue to upgrade and refurbish each year, returning the house - we hope - to something near its original splendour, but with all those extras expected by today`s visitors.
We offer six ensuite bedrooms, a lovely lounge for you to relax in and plan your stay, and a large dining room, set with individual tables. Everything, in fact to ensure you have the holiday you expect - and deserve.

Relax in our elegant lounge, and enjoy a wealth of original character features. There is a library of books and games, plenty of visitor information, together with a TV,DVD, radio and CD player and a selection of films and music.

Take in the southerly views over the garden across to the Solway Firth and beyond, whilst enjoying a wee dram of the Bladnoch, a coffee and liqueur after dinner, or simply relax during the day and enjoy your latest bookshop find.

The east facing dining room is arranged with six individual tables. The proportions of this room truly reflect the Victorian splendour of the house, yet it is given a contemporary twist,as it houses a collection of paintings by local artist Julie Houston. Each morning, breakfast will be tailored to your requirements - featuring juice, fruit, cereal, Wigwam bread made exclusively for us and a full cooked breakfast menu. If you choose to eat with us in the evening, your meal will also be served in this room.
